Glasgow Tigers 6 v 30 Inverclyde Sharks
Both sides found it difficult to come to terms with the wet conditions during the first quarter as steady drizzle made life difficult for both sets of offenses.
The Sharks' ground game gave them the lead early in the second when Darren Banks blasted his way into the end zone from the twelve. Alan Parker added the extra two from his trusty boot. Banks repeated his scoring feat from the eleven to pad the Sharks' lead to 14 - 0, but this time the kick was unsuccessful.
Conditions failed to improve in the third quarter as Inverclyde's Gary Clark nipped in from one yard out to guarantee their third spot in the Scotland Division. Parker sealed the extra two points to stretch their advantage out to 22 - 0.
The Tigers battled gamely and Russell gained their reward when he hauled in a four-yard pass to reduce the arrears and give the Glasgow side a glimmer of hope. The hope was short lived however as Kenneth Gilchrist dash in from the two and Parker once more booted the extra two to round off a good spirited game.
