Support to deal with aftermath
The BYAFA Welfare Officer will provide information on what support may be appropriate to children, parents and members of staff. Use of Help lines, support groups and open meetings will maintain an open culture and help the healing process.
Consideration should be given about what support may be appropriate to the alleged perpetrator of the abuse.
Where allegations are unfounded the BYAFA will work in a professional manner to ensure the person concerned is given the appropriate support to continue their work in American Football.
