Kent Exiles 0 v 0 Essex Spartans

With the scheduled conference games in the north and southwest having to be postponed due to a combination of missing ambulances and a waterlogged pitch, the spotlight was firmly fixed on the South East Conference.

.This was a game where those who love defense gained great satisfaction. It was hard fought battle with no quarter asked or given. The Exiles had the best chances of breaking the deadlock, having a field goal blocked and two missing the target, the last one with less than a minute on the clock but sailing wide by the narrowest of margins.

The Spartans can take great heart from this game with their defense becoming tighter with each passing week. They are slowly but surely beginning to realise their potential. The Exiles now need to push on to be able to break into the major force they have threatened to become over the previous couple of years. One decent offensive performance will see them turn the corner.
