Norwich Devils 8 v 6 Kent Exiles

The Devils kept up their remarkable start to the season jumping to a 3 – 0 record and setting themselves up for a realistic chance in the playoffs.

This was a tight dour game, not helped by the weather, but a field goal from James Tovell in each of the first two quarters kept the Devils in front and maintained their record of not conceding a point defensively.

Their 6 – 0 lead was short lived however, in the third period the Exiles Marc Mulgrave took back a wayward pass to tie the game at 6 – 6. However the Norwich defense continued to show its mean streak and clinched the game when the Exiles’ quarterback was sacked in his end zone for the Devils to cling onto their unbeaten record.

With the victory the Devils completed the double over the Exiles, their defense still not conceding a point. On the other hand the Exiles know that once they can get their offense clicking they will be ready to down all comers.
