MK Pathfinders 0 v 58 Bath Cardinals

The Cardinals quickly jumped into a twenty-point lead behind backup Quarterback William Wagstaffe. Kyle Latore hauled in a thirty-one yard pass and rookie tight end Simon Hallissey holding on to the extra two pass. Wagstaffe then took the ball in on a keeper from eight yards out to pad the lead. Chris Taylor scampered in from two yards out to give the visitors a comfortable first quarter lead.

The Pathfinders, playing with tremendous spirit and determination fought back gamely and nullified the high octane Bath offense for the whole of the second quarter.

With team captain Henry Allen coming on to lead the Cardinals in the third period, the Great Britain quarterback scampered in first for an eight yard score and then darted in to collect the extra two. He then connected with Ben Edgell from twelve yards out as the visitors rattled off another fourteen unanswered points.

Karl Adams hauled in an Allen nine-yard pass with Edgell adding the extra two before Chris Taylor added his second score of the day when he darted in from fifteen yards out. Adams took the two point extra pass as the visitors moved further clear. Joe Bodley added the final points of the afternoon when he grabbed a twenty-one yard pass to score and then latched onto the extra two-point pass.
