Youth Kitted Results - 2004
Clyde Valley Hawks 22 v 0 Glasgow Tigers
The two Scottish sides swapped this fixture to Friday evening and the result was a lot closer than many expected, showing how much the Lions have improved over the year.
I a tight game the Hawks drove downfield in the first period for Quarterback Ben Haan to dive in from the two. Tam Chapman stepped up to kick the two to give the Hawks the early 8 - 0 advantage. Haan repeated his effort in the second to increase the lead, but the two-point kick was blocked leaving Clyde Valley ahead by 14 - 0 at the half.
The Tigers still battled gamely as they fought to stay in the game, and it was not until the fourth that Gary Clarke recovered the ball in the end zone after the Tigers Quarterback was sacked and fumbled that the Hawks felt they had the game in the bag. Chapman once more booted the extra points to secure the 22 - 0 victory for the defending Scottish and National Champions.
