Harrogate Hawks 0 v 32 MK Pathfinders

The Pathfinders secured their first win of the season and left the hapless Hawks at the bottom of the Northern Conference. The game itself was virtually the Tim Dada show as He racked up the best part of two hundred and fifty yards on the ground to earn the MVP honours.

Dada opened his account in the first period outpacing a struggling Hawks defense from fifty-eight yards. By the time he had scampered in from thirty-four yards later in the quarter he was already past a hundred yards and the visitors in a healthy 12 – 0 lead.

The second quarter followed the same pattern as the first when Dada sped his way to the end zone from seventy-nine yards out and followed that up with another forty-two yard effort as the Hawks defense failed to contain him yet again. With Darryl Simms kicking the extra two points the Pathfinders went in at half time with a 26 – 0 lead, the perfect answer to their earlier reverse early in the season.

Ben Woodward continued the misery in the third with scoring runs from first nine and then twelve yards to give the Pathfinders a comprehensive and thoroughly deserved victory. This game should give the Pathfinders the confidence to take on the Lancashire Wolverines in their final game of the season and attempt to score the first offensive touchdown against them. The Hawks players leave the college at the end of the week and the coaches will await what talent will emerge in the September intake.
